🚧 We’re excited to share construction updates from this week! 🚧
• Progress in the shop continues with doors being set in place, new masonry walls built, and openings for the unit ventilators widened.
• Following concrete being poured, electrical and HVAC work has started in the biology and chemistry/physics rooms now that walls are erected. HVAC in the biology room is also being worked on.
• In the FCS room, drywall has been taped, mudded and will soon be ready for paint. Preparations are being made for the grease hood to be installed soon.
• Excavation has begun on most of the north side of the school with the retaining wall being removed and the dirt sloped, also broke up north entrance concrete.
• The first power shutdown to replace the panels under the cafe/gym went smoothly.
• Fitters and tinners are continually working on hooking up the AHU's all over the site still as more sheet metal and parts arrive.
• Lastly, the roof and entrances are still work in progress.

In honor of May Mental Health Awareness Month, students made worry stones or worry dolls in art class!
The dolls are a Guatemalan tradition rooted in local legend. According to the story, a Maya princess named Ixmucane received a special gift from the sun god, granting her the ability to solve any human problem. At night, people whisper their worries to their dolls or stones, which then work to resolve these worries while they sleep.
The kids did a fantastic job making their dolls and stones!
Huge shout-out to Mrs. Kindschuh for coming up with the idea and to Mrs. Thompson for working hard to make the idea a reality! 🙌

State Track Update: Brooklyn took 9th overall in the 800. 2:19.59 broke the school record she set at sectionals. Great job Brooklyn!

🌟🎶 Congratulations to these amazing Wild Rose musicians! 🎶🌟
Each year the Wisconsin State Music Association State Honors Music Project brings some of Wisconsin’s top young musicians together with nationally known conductors to practice and perform in a highly professional setting. Over 1200 HS students from grades 9-11 audition in the spring and approx. 400 are selected to be part of four music ensembles of 100 musicians each (Mixed Choir, Treble Choir, Band, & Orchestra).
Brynn Skweres was selected to be a member of this year’s 2024 HS Honors Treble Choir which will perform in October at the Overture Center in Madison.
The MS Honors Project is similar to the HS Music Project. These young musicians from grades 6-8 audition in April and approx. 300 students are chosen from a field of over 1,000 to be a part of three music ensembles (Band, Choir, & Orchestra).
Louisa Skweres, Brooklyn Bliefnick, Riley Lambert, and Kalub Morris were chosen to sing with the 2024 Middle Level State Honors Choir in October. Zoe Mueller and Willow Montgomery were selected as alternates.
Congratulations, #WildRoseWildcats! We are very proud of you!!
